[/b] and i guess i have some pet names but that's the name i like. anyways, i've been pulling these strings for two years and you don't know how many puppets i've made dance. it's hard when we're all on these different times, and so you know that i'm not some lunatic who's never on, i'm on every other day, so there you are! oh, right, i almost forgot! sometimes you can catch me impersonating no one and i'm loving it too! you need proof of my puppetry skills? fine! i swear, you're gonna be amazed, though.

"Mother? Sandclaw told me to give this to you." Russetwhisker quietly picked his way into the medicine cat's den, and he gently dropped down a plump mouse in front of his mother, Quailflower. "I hope you're getting better," Russetwhisker was talking to himself, clearly, but the medicine cat decided to answer him, coldly, what Russetwhisker thought.
"I don't think she'll make it," Marshpelt, the medicine cat, approached Russetwhisker with his claws extended, anxiety leaking from him like a fresh gush of water from the river. "We caught her too late with greencough, and she's very frail. Every time I give her catnip, she winces at every touch." Marshpelt hung his head.
"I doubt she'll make it into the new year."
Russetwhisker started to bristle.
"You lie!" His voice was hoarse. "Mother has always been strong, and she'll be strong until she dies of old age!" Russetwhisker hesitated. "StarClan wouldn't dare take her life this year, or the next!" Russetwhisker's head popped back so he glared up at the sky, anger swelling up inside him.
"And if they dare, they'll lose another believer!"

Russetwhisker is, yes, long furred with dark red fur. His eyes nearly match the color of his fur, but they're dark amber (brown). Russetwhisker is a Somali like his mother, Quailflower, and his father, Foxtail. They all are beautiful cats, but not award winning cats. Their pelts get tangled easily, without effort to, and their tails are so long and fluffy like a fox's (Somali = fox cat, actually) tail, and they easily get mistaken for one. Russetwhisker is near runtish, with short legs and just plainly, a short body. His nose is dark pink (reminds me of cooked carrots), and his whiskers are long and white.

Russetwhisker is a very sensitive, drastic and quiet tom. If you can get him to speak, he'll be short with it. And Russetwhisker is anything but nice. He has a short-temper, a sharp-tongue, and he is troubled a lot. He worries, he's negative, and he hates to be questioned. Russetwhisker's life wasn't that happy, so everyone can easily tell not to bother him. I think Russetwhisker might just need a friend to talk him through things.

Russetkit grew up beside his mother, Quailflower. His father, Foxtail, ran away when the tom realized he had a kit. So, Quailflower was depressed and short-tempered for Russetkit's kithood, so nothing went well. Quailflower snapped at Russetkit a lot, so he just turned into a quiet kit, who was obedient and shut down to the others.
{Apprenticeship}
Russetpaw trained quietly, did what he was supposed to, and showed no sign of wanting any friends. His mother complained about how imperfect he was, about what pain that he caused her.
{Warrior}
Quailflower started to realize what a female dog she had been. She started to love Russetwhisker, who was very surprised. Suddenly, and too soon, leaf-bare hit and dragged greencough along with it. Quailflower caught it, and Marshpelt the medicine cat found out to late. So Quailflower died and Russetwhisker lost his faith in StarClan.
